A Message from Mr. Maliwat

The college application season is well underway. Check your college application

requirements. If you need a copy of your school transcript and/or a counselor's recommendation, make those requests as soon as possible, no later than November 18, 2025. See Mr. Maliwat for a counselor recommendation. If you are applying through the Common App, make sure to add Mr. Maliwat as your counselor ASAP (see counselor information below). Your transcript and senior class schedule will be submitted by the counselor as part of the required School Report on Common App. If you need to submit an official transcript yourself, you can request an official transcript through Parchment (found on the Sato website under Student). We will be off during the Thanksgiving break, Nov. 25th - Nov. 29th, and will not check email, Common App, or process transcript requests until we return on December 2, 2024.

As a reminder, Dec. 2 at midnight is the deadline for UC and CSU applications! That is the day we come back from Thanksgiving break. Please complete your applications before we go on break, so that you can ask Ms. Imai for support before then if you run into any issues or questions.

If you are applying to UCs and would like feedback on PIQs, please share them with Ms. Imai before we go on break! Essays will be reviewed in the order they are received. If you would like to brainstorm essay ideas before a draft, that is great too - just walk in or schedule a meeting (calendly.com/mimai-ccc).

Ms. Imai will be available via email (mimai@lbschools.net) over break all day Monday 11/25, Tuesday 11/26, and the morning of Wednesday 11/27, to answer questions and review PIQs, and is willing to set up zoom appointments those days if needed.
